Having graduated in 2002, Mairi has worked and travelled as a sport and remedial massage therapist in New Zealand, Canada the UK and Australia.
She has travelled with Athletics Australia to the Commonwealth Games 2010 and the London Olympic Games 2012 and has supported the Australian Sailing team at various International championships for the past 7 years.
Mairi worked with the Total physio team in the former Sydney road practise from 2008-2012, and life took her back to the UK where she spent 4 years raising 2 children, and running a home based massage and pilates business along with teaching Pilates in a studio and contracting with the English Institute of Sport.
Mairi has re-joined the Total team as a massage therapist and pilates instructor. Outside of high performance sport, Mairi enjoys treating patients from all walks of life and is certified in dry needling, myofascial techniques and pregnancy massage. Alongside her massage work Mairi is passionate about integrating the benefits of pilates into her practise, to assist rehabilitation, strength, flexibility and general well being. Over the years, Mairi has become more aware of the importance of good nutrition as well as good therapy and exercise and is an advocate for healthy living inside and out.
Mairi Has re-joined the Total Physio Team after working in the UK for a few years teaching Pilates and contracting to the English institute of Sport.
Mairi enjoys treating patients from all walks of life from elite athletes (Miri has worked at the Olympic and Commonwealth Games) to utilise her skills in Pregnancy remedial massage She is certified in dry needling and myofascial release alongside being a fully qualified Pilates instructor.
