A Titled Sports Physio since 2000, Danealle enjoys helping her clients achieve their physical best. Employed at the AIS from 2003-2009, she was national team physiotherapist for Women’s water polo including their bronze medal performance at the Beijing Olympics. Her portfolio of support to elite teams at the AIS also included Triathlon, Archery, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Gymnastics, Track and Field, Rowing and Swimming.
Over the past 6 years Danealle has been employed as an advanced practice physiotherapist. This includes a role as primary contact physiotherapist in the Canberra Hospital Emergency Department where she provided management of acute injuries such as minor fractures and day one sports injuries. She also consulted in an orthopaedics screening clinic, assisting in the decision-making process on the suitability of orthopaedic surgery such as rotator cuff repairs, total joint replacements and knee arthroscopy.
Danealle completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University of Melbourne in 1994, a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2000 and has worked exclusively in the field of musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy for 25 years.
With two incredibly active boys in junior primary school, Danealle finds it necessary to keep herself fit in order to keep up with them. She enjoys trail running, mountain biking and surf ski paddling, and has been known to participate in multi day adventure races for fun.
