Hand Physiotherapy
Hand Physiotherapy
Hand physio is a specific area of physio that requires additional training to provide management of hand, wrist and elbow problems. As the hand is a highly complex part of the body and essential to all aspects of daily life, it is important to treat issues quickly and thoroughly to maintain or restore normal function.
How We Care For You
Your first appointment will involve a detailed assessment, asking you questions about your issue, and taking some measurements, such as range of motion, grip and pinch strength, and maybe some special mobility and strength tests.
From this assessment we can explain to you what your likely diagnosis is, form an individual management plan, and how we can help you achieve your goals.
If necessary, we can refer you for further investigations such as X-rays or scans if required, or liaise with your GP if these have already been carried out.
