National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Total Physiotherapy welcomes clients who are self-managed under the NDIS.

The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities. It is for people with severe and usually lifelong disabilities. People who are on the NDIS may require physiotherapy for their physical impairments. This may be for conditions such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Cord Injury, Genetic Conditions, Blindness, Hearing Loss, Amputation or Developmental Delay.

Early intervention supports may also be provided for eligible people with disability or children with developmental delays. Early interventions provide support to a child or adult as early as possible to reduce the impacts of disability or developmental delay and to build their skills and independence. For further information about Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) for Developmental Delay see our Paediatric Physiotherapy page.
