Your Mental Health Matters

Mental Health concerns cause a significant impact on life with an estimated 13 million people in Australia currently living with symptoms of anxiety and depression (Beyond Blue).

At Total Physiotherapy Manly Vale, we understand that life presents many challenges and we know that talking to people who have experience and training in evidence-based strategies can really make a difference.

Undeniably, we all have good days and bad days. However, if you’re feeling sad, down or anxious and these feelings have started to affect what you would normally enjoy or do, then it’s important to find out what’s going on and what you can do about it.

Unfortunately, despite best efforts and highest hopes, such symptoms are unlikely to simply go away on their own. In fact, if ignored and left untreated, symptoms can remain ongoing for years, eventually making day-to-day functioning difficult.

However, all is not lost! The good news is that depression and anxiety are treatable conditions and effective treatment options are readily available. What’s most important is the earlier you seek professional support, the better the outcome.

Total Physiotherapy is pleased to be able to offer confidential psychological support to adolescent and adults living in the Northern Beaches and its surrounding areas.

Our psychologist, Edel Langan, will work with you to not only promote insight into why you think, act and feel the way you do but also support you to develop the necessary skills to manage these challenges and enhance your emotional wellbeing.
